Acquiring a Piece
Two paths. Online: click any painting in the collection, then submit an inquiry or buy directly through checkout. In person: visit during open hours or schedule a private viewing. We accept most major payment methods.
Yes. We hold pieces for up to 7 days with a refundable deposit (10% of the piece's price). This gives you time to measure your space, consult your designer, or arrange a viewing. Email us at contact@kushartgallery.com with the title.
Our prices reflect the artists' time, materials, and the value of original one-of-one work. We don't typically negotiate on listed prices. For acquisitions of multiple pieces or commissioned works above $15,000, we're happy to discuss bundled pricing.
For acquisitions over $5,000, we offer interest-free payment plans of 3, 6, or 12 months. For pieces above $15,000, we partner with Affirm and Klarna for longer-term options. Contact us before checkout to set this up.
Shipping & Delivery
Within DFW: complimentary white-glove delivery and installation by our team. Nationwide: insured crated shipping with signature confirmation, 5—10 business days. International: available on request — pricing depends on destination, dimensions, and customs.
Within DFW: yes, completely free. Outside DFW within the continental US: shipping is calculated at checkout and typically ranges from $150 (small pieces) to $850 (statement pieces, fully insured and crated). International: quoted separately.
DFW deliveries can usually be scheduled within 48 hours of purchase. National crated shipping takes 5—10 business days from preparation to arrival. We email you tracking and a confirmed delivery window the day a piece ships.
Within DFW, yes — included with delivery. We arrive with the right hardware, hang the piece, and adjust until it's level and lit correctly. For nationwide deliveries, we can recommend trusted installers in most major cities.
Authenticity & Care
Every piece arrives with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity, signed by both the artist and the gallery. This documents the work's title, dimensions, year, medium, and provenance.
Each piece arrives with a printed care guide specific to its medium. The basics: keep out of direct sunlight, maintain consistent humidity (40—60%), dust gently with a soft, dry brush, never use cleaning chemicals. We're available for advice anytime.
Most paintings come gallery-wrapped (canvas wrapped around stretcher bars, ready to hang as-is). For pieces that benefit from framing, we offer a curated selection of frames at cost — we'll show you options before final sale.
Payment & Returns
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH bank transfers, and wire transfers for purchases above $10,000. We also accept payment through Affirm and Klarna for installment plans.
We offer a 30-day return window from delivery. If a piece doesn't feel right in your space, ship it back (in original packaging, with the COA) for a full refund minus shipping costs. Custom commissions are non-refundable once accepted.
Texas sales tax (8.25%) applies to deliveries within Texas. For deliveries to other US states, tax may apply based on local jurisdiction — calculated at checkout. International orders are duty-free at our end (you may owe import duties at destination).
Visits & Viewings
Open hours: Friday 4—8 PM, Saturday & Sunday 1—8 PM. We're closed Monday through Thursday for studio time, but available by appointment Thursday through Sunday. Schedule a private viewing for any other day.
During open hours: no appointment needed, walk in. Outside open hours or for an extended viewing experience: yes, please book a private viewing. Private viewings are complimentary and confirm within 24 hours.
Absolutely — that's what private viewings are for. Tell us which pieces interest you when you book, and we'll have them positioned in your preferred light, ready to discuss in detail.
The Cars
The gallery shares its floor with a rotating private car collection. Two things made with serious craft, in one room. That's the idea.
The cars are part of a private collection and are not currently for sale. They rotate occasionally as the collection evolves. If you're a serious enthusiast and want to inquire about a specific vehicle, we're happy to talk — but the answer is usually no.
Yes — please do. The gallery is highly photogenic and we encourage visitors to photograph the space (paintings included). For commercial or editorial photo shoots, please reach out in advance so we can clear the space and arrange proper lighting.
For select private events — corporate dinners, milestone celebrations, brand launches, photography shoots — we open the gallery on a case-by-case basis. The space holds approximately 60 guests comfortably. Email contact@kushartgallery.com with your event details and proposed date.
Commissions
Yes. Each of our painters accepts a small number of commissions per year. Commissions start at $1,200 (intimate scale) and run up to $30,000+ (centerpiece scale). Submit a brief here and we'll be back within 48 hours.
Depending on scale and complexity: 6—8 weeks (intimate), 10—12 weeks (statement), 14—20 weeks (centerpiece). All timelines start once the brief is approved and the deposit is received.
Our process includes concept revisions before the artist begins painting (1—3 revisions depending on tier), and monthly progress photos as the work develops. By the time you see the finished piece, you've already approved the direction. That said, if it lands wrong, we'll make it right — talk to us.
For Artists
Yes — we accept applications year-round. You can participate as a one-time exhibitor, or commit to a year-long Featured Artist position.
One-time exhibitor: Two paths — pay $75 per show to display for the full duration (you keep 100% of any sale), or take a 60/40 commission split with no upfront fee (you keep 60% if it sells). Apply here.
Featured Artist: A year-long partnership at $1,200/year. Promotional support, four included exhibitions, satellite display across Texas, a 65/35 commission split, and direct collector introductions. See the program.
We're open to most mediums — oil, acrylic, mixed media, photography, sculpture (limited slots). What matters more than medium is whether the work has its own voice. We don't accept reproductions, prints, or AI-generated work.
Selection is curatorial. The founder reviews every application personally, looking for distinct voice, technical maturity, and pieces that conversation well alongside our painters. We respond to every application within 2 weeks.
We're here.
